Sprinkler Fitters Local 183 is a labor union specializing in inspection, testing, maintenance, repair, alteration, and installation of fire suppression systems. We formed in Milwaukee in 1906, and to this day, we remain a leading force in the fire protection industry serving Southeast Wisconsin.

1. Must be 18 years of age. (see Section I11-8-2-Qualifications of Applicants for Apprenticeship in the National GuIideline Standards of Apprenticeship):
2. Complete this application and submit with the following:
• Birth certificate or other such document for proof of age.
• High School diploma and transcript or high school equivalency (GED) certification and
Official report of test results.
• Military transfer or discharge Form DD-214, if applicable:
3. Appear for interview when notified.
Requirements
- Provide Local 183 with the following documents:
- A copy of your birth certificate showing you are not less than 17 years of age.
- A copy of your high school diploma or high school equivalency (G.E.D) certificate.
- High school transcripts or high school equivalency (G.E.D) test scores.
- A copy of your valid drivers license.
- A copy of your Military Discharge Form (DD-214), if applicable.
- Submit Accuplacer scores for Math, Reading, and Mechanical tests.
- ACT tests taken less than 5 years prior to application will be accepted for Math and Reading.
